Obituary of Patricia Jean (Thompson) Perrussel.
[Compiled, edited and updated from those appearing in the Pittsburgh (PA) Post-Gazette, Pittsburgh (PA) Tribune-Review, The Olympian (Olympia, WA) and the Onaga (KS) Herald.]

Patricia Jean (Thompson) Perrussel, a 19 year resident of Gibsonia, PA and a previous resident of Olympia, WA, at 68 years, 11 months & 13 days, died on Saturday, Dec. 30, 2000 @ 6:50 am in St. Barnabas Nursing Home of ovarian cancer.

She was born on Jan. 17, 1932 in Comanche County, Kansas, on her parent's [Harry A. and Anna May (Murray) Thompson] farm. She went to grade school in Coldwater, KS and high school in Dodge City, KS. Mrs. Perrussel was a wife, mother and homemaker. She is survived by her husband, Russell E. Perrussel of Gibsonia, PA , whom she met when he was attending college in Manhattan, KS and married on Sept. 23, 1951 in Kingsport, TN; her two sons, Bruce Kevin Perrussel of Tumwater, WA and David Brian Perrussel of Spotsylvania, VA; her three sisters Lucille Farrell of Derby, KS; Eleanor Murphy of Topeka, KS and JoAnn Myers of Deer Trail, CO; and also many beloved nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters: Shirley Sandstrom and Betty Metzger; and two brothers: Jim and Harry Thompson. - There will be no viewing as her body was cremated.

A memorial service was held on Sunday, Jan. 7, 2001, @ 2:00 pm at the Herbert R. King Funeral Home, Inc., Route 8 at 2841 Woodland Circle, Allison Park, PA. The Rev. Alan Dean of the Richland Seventh Day Adventist Church officiated. The family requested donations be directed to the American Cancer Society, Southwestern Region, 241 Fourth Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15222-1744.

[A later memorial gravesite service and interment of her cremains in the Perrussel family plot took place on May 14, 2001 at 2 pm at Neuchatel Cemetery, Nemaha County, KS.]
